We alert you today to a woman that is battling throat cancer. She worked up until a few weeks ago, even though she was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. As I talked with her today, she was in the hospital, awaiting a procedure to insert a feeding tube. The radiation has burned her throat, and she is not going to be able to return to work for at least two months. She does not have very much savings and will be unable to pay her rent over the next few months, but disability will allow her to pay her utilities and daily needs. We want to help take the housing pressure off her while she fights cancer. We want to pay three months of her rent. It is $1,145 per month, so three months is $3,435 in total.
